Choosing the right pediatric practice for your children is a deeply personal decision, and we believe it's important for our philosophies to align with yours.
We are dedicated to providing excellent care, which happens best when our physicians and office staff share your family's values and approach to medical care. This alignment creates a foundation of mutual respect and trust, enabling us to make decisions together that prioritize your child's health and happiness.
Please read the following checklist carefully to ensure that Kidfinity Pediatrics is the perfect medical home for your children. We are excited to meet you and look forward to forming a warm and rewarding relationship with your family.
At Kidfinity Pediatrics, we recommend that all our patients follow the recommended immunization schedule, and we ensure that we have these vaccines readily available. We understand and are sensitive to the concerns of families. Our commitment is to work closely with you to address your concerns while continuing to protect our patients from diseases that could pose an immediate threat to them and others they come into contact with.
Our Vaccine Policy follows the schedule outlined by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Navigating vaccine information can be overwhelming, especially with so many mixed messages from social media, friends, and family. Often, well-meaning loved ones share their concerns, which can contribute to confusion and fear. While it's natural to want to listen to those we trust, it's important to remember that some of the information they share may not be based on the latest scientific evidence.
Social media, in particular, can amplify posts that evoke strong emotions—like fear or anger—which makes us more likely to react and share them. Many of these posts rely on misleading data or "cloaked science" to appear legitimate, when in fact they may not be grounded in facts.
If you hear something from friends, family, or online that worries you, take a step back. Seek out trusted sources for accurate, evidence-based information. Websites like HealthyChildren.org, AAP.org, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO) provide reliable guidance on vaccines. Fact-checking organizations like PolitiFact and FactCheck.org can also help clarify misleading claims.
Remember, when in doubt, your pediatrician is here to help. We’re always available to discuss any concerns you may have and provide clear, accurate information to help you make the best decisions for your child’s health.
We work hard to avoid overusing antibiotics. We educate families on their appropriate use and follow evidence-based guidelines, so we don’t automatically treat ear pain, or a green, snotty nose with antibiotics unless it is clinically warranted.
We do not routinely prescribe antibiotics over the phone, as we do not believe that is good medicine. We will prescribe an antibiotic when we believe it is the appropriate treatment.
We make every effort to meet the needs of our patients, offering both routine well visits and sick visit appointments. We also offer walk-in appointments on a limited basis depending on the severity of your situation. We may not be able to accommodate walk-ins if we are at capacity, as we are committed to delivering the highest quality of care.
To ensure we provide you with the most efficient and quality care, we highly recommend calling ahead to schedule an appointment.
Please familiarize yourself with our office hours to ensure they work for your family.
We are dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care and being your primary medical home. To ensure the best care, please contact our office first before seeking specialty care or visiting another provider for urgent care. This helps us either provide the care you need here or refer you to the most suitable specialist while coordinating your care effectively.
When you do see a specialist, kindly request that a report be sent directly to our office. This keeps us informed and ensures your medical records are always up to date.
Our practice prides itself on efficiency through use of technology. You will be encouraged to consult our website, register for and use our patient portal, download our app, and effectively use automated reminders for appointments and for routine care/immunizations that are due.
If you or a loved one is having an emergency, please call 911.
We have a physician on call 24/7/365. When our office is closed overnight and you have an urgent issue that cannot wait until our office reopens, you can call our main number and our after hours team will assist you.
You may wish to check the "Is Your Child Sick?" section of our website for helpful information before using this service. Read more about After Hours care.
Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that your child's visit with us will be covered by your insurance.
We kindly ask that you know the limits and coverage of your health insurance policy, show your insurance cards at each visit, and be prepared to pay any copays at the time of service.
Our appointment team and billing staff will do their best to assist you with any insurance questions. However, for specific coverage details, it’s best to contact your insurance company directly. We aim to avoid any billing surprises but must bill your health plan according to federal guidelines and the services provided.
For more information, please read our Financial Policy.
Insurance copays are expected at the time of your service. Copays are a contractual obligation that you have with your insurance company. If you are unable to pay your copay, please call our office and speak with our billing department before your visit to set up a payment plan.
For acute care, please call the office to speak with triage staff, who will listen to your concerns and schedule an appointment for you. Sometimes an appointment may not be needed, and staff will advise you regarding your issue, or check with the physician and call you back.
If our nurse is on with another caller, you will be asked to leave a message and you will receive a return call before the end of the day.
For emergencies, please dial 911.
For well visits, please call our appointment line.
Our practice makes every effort to run on time with appointments, as we believe everyone’s time is equally valuable. As a courtesy, we will remind you of your upcoming appointments via phone/text message/email.
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. We understand sometimes things happen beyond your control that may cause you to be late. However, we reserve the right to ask you to reschedule if you arrive late for your appointment.
Missed Appointments: Broken appointments represent a cost to us, to you, and to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. We reserve the right to charge a fee for repeated canceled or missed appointments within 24 hours of your child's appointment. Please refer to our financial policy for additional information. We request 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments.
A fee will be charged for a second missed appointment. The third consecutive missed appointment will result in discharge from the practice.
For new patients, a fee may be charged if the FIRST appointment is missed.
